K’lyn Downs, 18, of Cambridge passed away on Thursday April 1, 2021 at her home.  She was born in Easton on March 24, 2003 to the late Matthew Allen Woodard and Danielle Marie Downs. 

K’lyn was a kind and gentle soul.  She had such a vivacious and bubbly personality that will bring a smile to anyone’s face who thinks of her.  K’lyn was very interested in cosmetics, and would love to do her make up in a special way and take loads of selfies.  She loved all kinds of animals, especially her dogs Mia and Lucy, and she had aspirations of being a veterinarian.  K’lyn loved her family, and took such delight in being the big sister to Sean, Lilly, and Addy.

K’lyn is survived by her little brother Sean Downs; her great grandmothers Cynthia Woodard and Shirley Kowarsch; her grandmother Kim Patchett; her step mother Whitney Sussex and her daughter Lilly; her aunts Kasi Downs, Maria Bailey, and Lauren Elzey; her uncles Kyle Downs, Cody Downs, David Carrier, David Coleman, and Justin Patchett; her cousins Bailey Downs, Maddie Downs, Liam Coleman, Kylie Coleman, Paisley Carrier, Kole Bailey, Jaxx Patchett, Caleb Russum, Erin Russum, Rachael Russum, and Ethan Arquiette; her great aunt Stacey Russum and husband Wesley; her great uncle Joshua Woodard and wife Anna Burgess of Secretary; as well as 6 third cousins.  She is preceded in death by her parents Danielle Downs and Matt Woodard, her step sister Addy, grandmother Robbin Downs, grandfather Dieter Kowarsch, and her beloved pit bull Mia.

A joint celebration of Matt and K’lyn’s lives will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 1-3 PM in the parking lot behind Fat Ricky’s Pub and Grill, located at 530 Poplar St, Cambridge, MD 21613.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Go Fund Me account created to help Matt’s family as they heal and recover.  Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
