Lisa Kay Sorensen-Wilson, age 63, passed peacefully at her home in Appleton WI. With her husband Jimmie Wilson by her side on March 30th, after a lifelong battle with type 1 diabetes and a recent struggle with dementia. She was born on Dec. 28th 1957 to Bill and Evelyn Kearns in Rochester Mn. Lisa was a 1976 graduate of Rochester Lourdes High School. She worked several jobs in Rochester, and eventually moved to Appleton WI. Lisa was a valued employee of Schneider Trucking for many years until her health made it difficult for her to work. Lisa was known to us as a beautiful singer, great tennis player, a pool shark, vocal advocate of fair prices of candy bars in childhood, Minnesota Vikings and Twins fan, and she loved her dog Junior. Lisa is survived by her husband Jimmie Wilson, her son Adam Sorensen of Blaine Mn., Mike Sorensen (father of Adam), and 5 sisters, Maureen (Richard) Gaffron of Rollingstone Mn., Paulette (David) Wojchik of Rochester Mn., Sally (Richard) Evans of Missoula Mt., Aimee Dalton of Winona Mn., and Ellen (Robert) Asleson of Sandwich Illinois. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. In addition to her friend Sarah Wilson-Settle as well as her care givers Nita Rice, Molly, Rebecca, and Karen at Christian Servants. Her husband Jimmie has given her loving care over the past years as her health started to decline. She will be missed by all who love her. Memorial will be held at Riverside Cemetery, 714 N. Owassa St. Appleton, on April 16th at 1:00.
