Lisa Dammer Roswick, 57, of Fayetteville, died unexpectedly at home on Monday, March 29, 2021.

She was born on March 26, 1964, in Schenectady, New York, the daughter of Paul and Joyce Dammer. She was educated in Hoosic Valley schools. Lisa earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial distribution from Clarkson University in 1986 and a master of business administration degree from Syracuse University in 2003.

Lisa spent her career as an engineer in the manufacturing industry, including at Corning, Microwave Filter Corp. and most recently with TTM Technologies.

She married David Roswick on June 13, 2009, in Syracuse University’s Hendricks Chapel.

Lisa was a passionate cheerleader for her family and formed many lasting and meaningful relationships with friends. She was beyond proud of her beloved daughter, Natalie Grace, and of her academic, musical and athletic achievements. She never missed a concert, school musical or athletic event, and always sought out opportunities for Natalie to stretch her wings and try new things. Natalie’s kindness is a direct reflection of the goodness that her mother instilled in her.

Lisa also stretched herself to achieve new things as well. She participated in IronGirl triathlons and the swimming legs of Iron Man 70.3 triathlons, her swimming skills honed in the family’s backyard pool that she loved to sit by. Her backyard was full of flowers and plant life that she nurtured. Over the past several months, she cultivated an interest in house plants in her mother’s memory. Lisa always made sure family traditions were continued, and everything was a cause for a celebration. 

Throughout life she rose to the occasion to overcome challenges and take care of others' needs, many times above her own. When her father died in 2015, Lisa moved her mother, Joyce, to Manlius. She was an extremely dedicated caregiver to her mother for nearly six years until Joyce’s passing on Nov. 30, 2020.

Lisa loved quiet time in the woods, being near water and on the beaches of Cape Cod, creating crafts and decorations as well as delicious food. Above all, she valued quality time with her family. She will fondly be remembered for her humor and her kind and loving nature.

Surviving are her beloved husband and daughter, David and Natalie, of Fayetteville; her brother and sister-in-law, Dave and Daria Dammer of Quakertown, Pennsylvania, and their children, Maggie, Caelan, Peterand Luke; her father-in-law, Dr. Howard Roswick of Spring Hill, Fla.; her brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Denise Roswick of Mundelein, Ill., and their children, Emma and Luke; an uncle, Peter (Madge); an aunt, Vollie (Bill); and many cousins.
