Arthur Geraldo "Quack" Welsh, Sr., 56, a resident and native of Morgan City, LA, passed away peacefully on Thursday April 1, 2021 at 8:55 PM at his residence. 

A public walk through viewing will be conducted from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, April 9, 2021 at Jones Funeral Home 715 Sixth Street Morgan City, LA. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing with the recommendation of signing the registry book, viewing and exiting). Visitation will be observed on Saturday April 10, 2021 at the Mount Zion Baptist Church from 9:00 AM until funeral services at 11:00 AM (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing). Pastor Larry Frank and Pastor Keith Verrett will officiate the services. Burial will follow funeral services in the Morgan City Cemetery. Services will be accessible by viewing the Jones Funeral Home, Inc. Facebook Pages at 11:00 A. M. on Friday April 9, 2021.

Memories of Arthur Sr., will forever remain in the hearts of his loving and devoted wife, Jacqueline M. Welsh; son, Arthur G. Welsh, Jr.; daughters, Daisjiah Calvin and Courtney Welsh all of Morgan City, LA and Shayla (David) Lanus of Geismar, LA; three brothers, Clarence K. (Phyllis) Welsh, III of Baton Rouge, LA, Joseph L. (Alisa) Welsh of Denham Springs, LA and Juston Welsh of Sioux City, IA; four sisters, Sonya Welsh of Denham Springs, LA, Eva (Pastor Richard) Parks and Jazmine Welsh both of Houston, TX and Precious Danos of Patterson, LA; his mother and father-in-law, Clarence & Ada Lightfoot; two brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law, two grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Arthur Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence S. Welsh, Jr. and Barbara Ruffin Welsh and two grandchildren, Sarai and Daylon Lanus.
