Obituary
ERNEST CICCARELLI Jr. lived a life that not one person could call uninteresting. His unending love for the natural world and the arts filled his life with adventure and purpose. In his early years, he lived in New York City, Los Angeles, West Palm Beach, and a Native American reservation for the Seminole Tribe from which he was given his preferred name, “Chi Osceola”. While living in New York City, Chi celebrated his love for nature through a macrobiotic restaurant called “The Paradox” on East 7th Street. His love for the arts was shown through his acting career where he performed in a movie alongside Robert De Niro and with his photography of celebrities such as John Lennon, Marvin Gaye, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, and others. He followed his father’s footsteps with his passion for composing and performing music, even into his later years. Also, like his father and brother, he was a proud United States Marine. The firstborn son of Ernest and Elenore, Chi was born in Staten Island, New York on June 18th, 1937. He was 83 years old when he passed away peacefully at home in West Palm Beach, Florida on March 17th, 2021. Chi is survived by his brother Ralph (Roberta) Ciccarelli, his daughter Debbie Ciccarelli Touchton, and his two sons Roberto V (Sara) Ciccarelli and Ernesto “Mark” Ciccarelli III, his grandchildren Kelly (Bryan) Honhart, Robert Ciccarelli Jr., Loriana (Walter) Cabreja, Benjamin Ciccarelli, and Katie Ciccarelli, and one great-granddaughter Saylor Honhart, who was the sparkle in his blue eyes. Chi was predeceased by his mother, his father, and his brother Jon. In true Chi fashion, he will be remembered informally and without any official celebration. +++
