Diane Deaner Wilson

Diane Deaner Wilson, 68, of Lexington Park, MD, formerly from Damascus, MD passed away on March 31, 2021 at her home. She was born on July 5, 1952 in Washington, DC and was the daughter of Paul Moon Deaner, Sr. and the late Lorene Olive (Smith) Deaner. Diane was the loving wife of John A. Wilson whom she married on September 23, 1978 in Germantown, MD. Diane is survived by her children Christine Hylton (Andrew) of Broomes Island, MD, Lisa Maples (Brian) of Leonardtown, MD, and 4 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Paul M. Deaner, Jr. Diane graduated from Damascus High School in 1970. She moved to St. Mary’s County in 1996 from Damascus, MD. She worked for the Department of the Navy as an Administrative Assistant, retiring in August of 2014. Diane enjoyed gardening, quilting, needlepoint, and was a member of the Town Creek Garden Club. The Family will receive friends on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD where a Funeral Service will be held in the chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastor Dan Moore officiating.
