Kenneth Richard Hare

Kenneth R. "Pop Pop" Hare, 73, of Hampstead, MD passed away from complications of diabetes on March 29, 2021 at home surrounded by family. Born August 7, 1947 in Manchester, MD. He was the son of the late Olan & Helen Leister Hare and the husband of Nancy R. Hare of 39 years. He worked for the United States Postal Service for over 30 years, retiring at the age of 55. He loved to travel and had visited Alaska, Hawaii, Ocean City and Myrtle Beach, many cruises and several driving tours with his wife to the Western States, White Mountains of New Hampshire, Maine and all the beaches on the Coast of Florida. He had a special bond with his cats Taz, Black Ice and Lucky. He enjoyed watching the many birds & squirrels that visited his many feeders and on Saturday mornings the yard sales were always an adventure. He is survived by his son Wayne Hare and wife, Michelle; his daughter Robin Cooper and husband Robert; granddaughter Amber Krug and husband Tyler; great grandson Oakley Krug; brothers Jaynna Hare and wife Sharon; Roger Hare and wife Phyllis; brothers-in-law Wilbur "Butch"" Glover and wife Doris Glover and Randy Glover and many nieces and nephews. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and his family will hold his memory close in their hearts forever. Services will be private and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Pastor Cole Peck from Hampstead Baptist Church, nurses and aids from Carroll Hospice for making his journey less stressful.
