HILLSBOROUGH: Polly Whitt Burke, 78, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at her home in Hillsborough. She was born in Hot Coal, WV to the late Loyd and Virginia McKinney Whitt. Ms. Burke is survived by her daughter, Deborah Brown (James), Jacqueline Burke; brother, Ballard Whitt (Sharon); sisters, Mavis Adams, Sally Whitt; grandchildren, Ashley Reed, David Brown, Jonathan Brown, Krystle Taylor, Laura Taylor; and great-grandchildren, Sophia Reed, Benjamin Reed, Jaydyn Taylor, Camden Thomas. A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, July 15 at Clements Funeral Chapel in Hillsborough. The family will receive prior to the services for one hour at the funeral home.
