Glenda Moyer Milner

<p>Glenda Moyer Milner, age 77, wife of Glenn L. Milner, died unexpectedly on Thursday morning, March 25,&nbsp;2021 at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, MD.</p> <p>She was the daughter of Albert Moyer and Ruth (Eldridge) Moyer of Whitney Point, NY, now deceased.&nbsp;She was also predeceased by her brother Norman L. Moyer and sister-in-law Bettijean M. Miller.</p> <p>Glenda Milner graduated from Whitney Point Central School with the class of 1961. She graduated from&nbsp;Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, with the class of 1965 with a degree in Home Economics.</p> <p>Glenda joined the Peace Corps after graduating from Cornell and spent two years in Lavras, Minas&nbsp;Gerais, Brazil after several months of training in Tempe, AZ. She was assigned to a missionary school&nbsp;where she developed Home Economics curriculum and taught English as well as cooking and other skills.</p> <p>After completing her assignment in the Peace Corps, she returned to Whitney Point and was a long-term&nbsp;substitute teacher for elementary special education for a semester. In 1969, she completed a Master of&nbsp;Education degree at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI.</p> <p>Employed by Baltimore County Public Schools, Glenda then moved to Baltimore, MD in 1969. She&nbsp;initially taught at Milford Mill High School and then at Owings Mills High School until she retired in 2005.&nbsp;In the past, she was a member of Whitney Point United Methodist Church, Milford Mill United Methodist&nbsp;Church, and Bethany United Methodist Church, Ellicott City, MD. Glenda and her siblings were interested&nbsp;in exploring family history and old photographs that had been passed down to them. Ancestry.com&nbsp;research and DNA testing recently had revealed that they are&nbsp;descended from three separate Mayflower&nbsp;passengers. Glenda and her sister were actively pursuing more information.</p> <p>She is survived by daughter Julie A. Milner, son Mark R. Milner, sister Sylvia J. Moyer, niece Laura K.&nbsp;Kelly, nephew Kevin S. (Lee) Moyer, and brother-in-law Sheldon S. Glenda Moyer Milner, age 77, wife of Glenn L. Milner, died unexpectedly on Thursday morning, March 25, 2021 at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, MD.

She was the daughter of Albert Moyer and Ruth (Eldridge) Moyer of Whitney Point, NY, now deceased. She was also predeceased by her brother Norman L. Moyer and sister-in-law Bettijean M. Miller.

Glenda Milner graduated from Whitney Point Central School with the class of 1961. She graduated from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, with the class of 1965 with a degree in Home Economics.

Glenda and her siblings were interested in exploring family history and old photographs that had been passed down to them. Ancestry.com research and DNA testing recently had revealed that they are descended from three separate Mayflower passengers. Glenda and her sister were actively pursuing more information.

She is survived by daughter Julie A. Milner, son Mark R. Milner, sister Sylvia J. Moyer, niece Laura K. Kelly, nephew Kevin S. (Lee) Moyer, and brother-in-law Sheldon S. Miller.
