Michael L. Shake, 66, of Chicora, went to be with the Lord Thursday morning, March 25, 2021 at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh while in the company of his loving wife, daughter, and grandson.

Michael was born in Louisville, KY on October 11, 1954.  He was the son of the late Roy and Lillian Wallis Shake.

He was a graduate of Fairdale High School in Kentucky and had attended a vocational school for electrician training.

In his earlier years, he had been employed by General Electric.  Mike was a member of the Donegal Grange in Chicora and had been a social member of the Brady’s Bend American Legion.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Alleda Lynn Sutton Shake; three children, Sharon Smith and her husband, Jay, of New Wilmington, Diane Longe and her husband, Dan, of Halifax, VT, and Tabitha Mortimer and her husband, Jim, of East Brady; four grandchildren, Zachari Mortimer of Petersburg, NY, Katelynn Longe of Halifax, VT, Kelsea Smith of New Wilmington, and Ella Longe of Halifax, VT; his mother-in-law, Ruby Cramer of Chicora; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Shake, a sister, Judy Lynch, two nephews, David Lynch and Ryan Cramer, and his father-in-law, William Cramer.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd., Chicora, from 2 -4 p.m. Sunday.  A funeral service will follow from the funeral home at 4:00 p.m. with the Rev.
