Linda Blanche Allen, 78, of Upperco, MD passed away on March 24, 2021 at the Long View Health Care Center in Manchester, MD. Born June 15, 1942 in Rutland, VT, she was the daughter of the late Lincoln and Blanche (Morfoot) Baird and the loving wife of the late John J. Allen. She attended Franklin High class of 1960. Before she retired she worked for Black & Decker as an Assembly and Repair Person. Her family recalls how she could put absolutely anything together. She enjoyed roller skating, long walks, gardening and her pets. Collecting buttons, solving crossword puzzles, reading and watching Jeopardy every night was a passion. She was an incredible cook. She enjoyed cooking for family, hosting the annual Thanksgiving Dinner and sharing crabs with friends. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 200 and VFW Post #467. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Linda is survived by her sister and brother in law; Donna and GC Smith of Upperco, MD. Brother and sister in law; Robert and Margaret Ponesse of New Windsor, NY, step daughter Robin Grey Wolfe of Littlestown, PA and step grandson Shane Seitler of Littlestown. Her nieces: Tammy Barnett of Hampstead, MD, Bonny Opper of Finksburg, MD. Extended nieces, nephews and step great grandchildren.
