James Barnie Carroll Obituary

Mr. James Barnie Carroll, age 91, of Lovelady, passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 in the Winfield Health Center. Mr. Carroll was born November 22, 1923 in Ellis Springs, Walker County, Texas to J. B. Carroll Sr. and Lucy Johnson Carroll. He was retired as a heavy equipment operator and a member of the Lovelady First Baptist Church. Mr. Carroll is survived by his wife, Betty Genois Bartee Carroll of Lovelady; children, Don Carroll and wife, Virginia of Austonio, Kay Carroll Culver of Baycliff, Gaye Childress of Waller, Joy Lowman and husband, David of Sugar Land and Tami Roberts of Lovelady; grandchildren, Pat Culver, Tanya Culver, Melody Carroll, Amy Lynn Drummond, Michelle Winfrey, Tammi Gay, James Carroll and wife, Tasha, Renee Brandon, Buster Boles, Tiffany Lenz, Alicia Boles-Fry, Jon Lowman and wife, Laura, Kelley Blasco, Kimberly Delgado, Jennifer Sanchez, and Carrie Horan ; sisters, Margie Shaw of Pasadena and Mattie Driskell and husband, Harry of Lovelady; sister-in-law, Novelle Carroll of Burleson; numerous great-grandchildren and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Calvert Carroll; daughter, Janet Carroll; parents, James Barnie Carroll Sr. and Lucy Johnson Carroll and nine brothers and sisters. Funeral services for Mr. James Barnie Carroll will be held Sunday, September 6, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mitchell Kleckley officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation prior to the service Sunday. Interment will follow in the Creek Cemetery.CALLAWAY-ALLEE FUNERAL HOME
