Scott Douglas Hoffman, age 48, of Plainfield, Illinois passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. Scott was born on December 15, 1972 in Oak Park, Illinois. He grew up in LaGrange Park where he attended Riverside Brookfield High school and played baseball, basketball, and football. Scott received his Bachelor of Science degree at Northern Illinois University. He was a partner in CRH Insurance Company. Those who knew Scott, knew of his love for sports, especially his love for Baseball and the CHICAGO CUBS. Scott took such pride in being a dad. He wasn’t just a sideline dad. Scott was at all his kids sporting events and in some cases as a coach. He loved inspiring not only his children but their teammates as well. Scott is survived by his loving children, Haley, Izzy, & Chase Hoffman and their mother Jennifer. Mother, Kathleene (nee Hejny) Hoffman, sisters, Arlene (David) Lobas, Laura Thompson; nieces and nephews, Amanda, Kyle, & Hannah Lobas, Christopher & Ashley Thompson; great-nieces and nephews, Ryen Lobas, Adison, Ivy, & Emma Thompson; girlfriend, Laura Doerr Piaskowy; and many friends and colleagues. He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Hoffman. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 29, 2021 from 2:00pm-8:00pm at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home & Crematory, 24021 Royal Worlington Drive, Naperville Illinois 60564. To honor Scott, please feel free to wear CUBS attire. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial with online streaming. This will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, 10:30 am at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 701 S. Eola Rd., Aurora. . Interment Chapel Hills Garden West Cemetery, Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.
