Martha E. Guile, 72, of Eckford died on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Medi Lodge of Marhall surrounded by her family. Martha was born on February 21, 1943 in Detroit to Harrison and Evelyn (Mahrle) Royer. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1961, and then she graduated from Kellogg Community College as a Registered Nurse. In 1961 she married Berdette Pombier. He preceded her in death in 1972. On December 27, 1996 she married Ronald "Ron" Guile in Marshall at the United Methodist Church. Martha was a nurse at Oaklawn Hospital for 38 years. She retired in 1998. Martha was a member of the Marshall United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing bingo and square dancing. Martha enjoyed traveling on several trips with her husband Ron and spending the winters in Florida. She is survived by her husband Ron of Eckford; sisters Nancy (Lewis) Mercer of Marshall and Mary Kay Tolf of Battle Creek. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will take place at the Kempf Family Funeral Homes, Marshall Chapel 723 US 27 North on Monday, December 14, 2015 from 5-8pm with family present to greet friends at that time. Funeral services celebrating her life will take place at 2:00pm on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 with Pastor Bill Cole officiating. Interment will follow at West Eckford Cemetery.
