Betty M. (Schultz) Glenn, 90, of Lewistown, passed away at 2:32 pm Monday, March 22, 2021 at her home in Lewistown, MO. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 AM Friday March 26, 2021 at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra, MO. Ted Middleton will officiate. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Palmyra, MO. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM Friday March 26, 2021 at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel. Betty was born July 10, 1930, in Kinderhook, IL to Johnnie R. and Helen L. Kellum Schultz. She was married to William I. Glenn March 25, 1950 in Marion County, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 5, 1983. Survivors include her 3 daughters Dariva (Les) Lair of Quincy, IL, Sue Whitaker of Ewing, MO, and Kay (Larry) Lund of Ewing, MO; grandchildren Mike (Sheila) Lair, Billie (Larry) Janes, Crystal (John) Cornwell, Besty (Johnny) Janes, Lindsay (Urban) Wiskirchen, Beverly (Mike) Stein and Douglas Lund; 19 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Betty was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, son in-law Norman Whitaker, and brother Russell Schultz. Betty was a mother and farm wife who worked hard to take care of her family. Betty enjoyed going to the Rutledge dry goods store and craft shows where she could enjoy the outdoors and what vendors had to offer. She was a talented cook and loved baking cookies. Everyone looked forward to her homemade potato salad whenever she whipped up a batch. She worked with her hands to make beautiful embroidery tea towels and truly enjoyed all kinds of flowers, especially roses and irises. Betty was cherished by all who knew her and will be dearly missed by her family. Bill & Betty attended Mt. Olivet Baptist Church while living in Ewing, MO. Betty was baptized while attending Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Mike Lair, Douglas Lund, Paul Hudnut, Larry Janes, Johnny Janes, Mike Stein, John Cornwell and Urban Wiskirchen. Memorial contributions may be made to Durham Baptist Church.
