Carmen G. Ayala

Mendon Carmen G. (Vazquez) Ayala, age 84, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015, at home. She is survived by her son, Deuel "Sonny" (Dori) Ayala; granddaughter, Samantha Ayala; sister, Ernestine (Rev. Harold) Malone; two nieces, Karen (Mark, M.D.) Blakeslee and Kathleen (David) Clark; two nephews, Keith (Michele) Malone and Kevin Malone, M.D. She was predeceased by her grandson, Anthony Ayala. Mrs. Ayala was born in Brooklyn and was the daughter of Ralph and Antonia Vazquez. She worked as a seamstress in Queens. Mrs. Ayala was formerly of Deer Park, Long Island and attended Calvary Full Gospel Assembly of God Church in Yaphank, Long Island. She moved upstate in 1989, first to Canandaigua, then Mendon. Mrs. Ayala retired from the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa in Fairport. She attended New Hope Fellowship in Bloomfield. Friends may call Monday, December 14, from 5-7 pm, at New Hope Fellowship, 7466 Rte's 5&20, Bloomfield. Her funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at the church. Interment will be on Thursday, December 17, at 2 pm, at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Elim Bible Institute Building Fund, 7245 College St., Lima, NY 14485. Arrangements are by Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc., Bloomfield.
