John A. Mansy, age 80, lifelong resident of Norwalk, died peacefully at his home on March 18, 2021 with his family at his side. For 50 years, he was the husband of the late Mary Versace Mansy. John was born on March 14, 1941, the son of the late Anthony and Caroline (Barone) Mansy. He was the former owner of JAM’S Brake Service on Main Ave.
Whether it was fishing, clamming or spending a day on the islands, John loved being by the water. John was an active member of Ischoda Yacht Club, South Norwalk Boat Club and The Pedal Steel Guitar Association. He enjoyed playing his country music and was an avid NY Yankees fan.
John is survived by his loving daughters; Toni Parlanti and her husband Joseph, Jacqueline Coppola and her husband Victor and Nicole Tierney and her husband John. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren Nicholas, Michael, Matthew, Vincent, Christopher and Juliette.
John’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Thursday, March 25, from 5-8 PM. Services and burial will be private.
