Stanley "Buster" Symanski Obituary

Stanley “Buster” Lewis Symanski passed away peacefully on March 18, 2021 at his residence in Hatfield at the age of 69. Buster was born in Northampton on August 17, 1951 to the late Stanley S. and Nellie (Agnew) Symanski. He graduated from Smith Vocational High School in 1969 and continued his education at Springfield College earning his Master Electrical License. Buster founded and owned M&S Electric for 40 years, creating relationships and partnerships lasting decades. He was also a member of the Hatfield Housing Authority for seven years and was the Electrical Inspector for Hatfield for over 30 years. He was a self-made man who worked hard his whole life and always enjoyed a good time. Buster had a kind and generous heart. For 30 years he dressed as Santa Claus and delivered Christmas presents to children from Brightside with his friends, the Wilsons, something of which he was very proud. He had a lifelong love for the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman, spending many days on area lakes. Some of his fondest memories are of hunting and fishing with his dear friends Tony Plaza and Chet Swaz. He was a longtime member of The Hatfield Fish & Game Club. Buster lit up any room he entered. His laugh was contagious and he always had jokes to lighten the mood. To know Buster was to love him due to his infectious personality and love of life. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Buster will be remembered by his wife Jill Tucker and his stepson Nicholas Tucker; sisters Cynthia Larareo and her husband Jack and Marcia Prokop and her husband Bill; half-sister Dottye Pillow; stepsister Sandra Wissman. He is also survived by 5 nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Buster is preceded in death by his half-brother George Coor and stepmother Jean Symanski. A funeral mass will be held for Buster on Wednesday March 24 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Grace Church in Hatfield, followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be at Czelusniak Funeral Home on Tuesday March 23 from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hatfield Fish and Game Club c/o Poppy Thayer Fishing Derby, P.O. Box 128 Hatfield, MA 01038, or to the Buster Symanski Memorial Scholarship Fund at Smith Vocational Agricultural High School, 80 Locust St. Northampton, MA 01060.
