Ivan Lamar Howell 76, of Bowling Green, KY passed away peacefully at 6:07 p.m. on Friday October 16, 2015 at the Hospice of Southern Kentucky. The Warren County native was born on June 2, 1939 to the late Youree F. and Hattie Willis Howell; he is retired from the United States Post Office. He served in the U.S. Navy, he was an avid golfer, Ivan will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his daughter; Melinda Jones (Todd) of Bowling Green, Myrlene Kirby of Bowling Green, sister; Nancy Meredith, brother; Mike Howell (Joyce), special cousin & friend Dennis Jones (Velma), his beloved dog J.J., nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2015 at J.C Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel with burial at Martha's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Expression of sympathy can be made to the Hospice of Southern Kentucky.
