Scott Crites

Scott Crites, 45, of Lexington, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at his residence. He was born on September 28, 1975 in Bloomington, Indiana. Scott graduated from Brownstown Central High School in the Class of 1994 and then attended Franklin College on a Cross Country Scholarship. He was a sales manager for Spectrum, was an accomplished musician and author. Scott was a member and former worship leader for the old City on the Hill Church in Scottsburg, Indiana and was a loving husband and dad. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Esther and Charles Smith and Rosemary and Joe Gault. Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Heather (Manns) Crites; a son and three daughters, Aidan, Paige, Bella and Ellie Crites all of Lexington, Indiana; his mother and stepfather, Teresa and Tim Deppe of Seymour, Indiana; his father and stepmother, Steve and Anita Gault of Brownstown, Indiana; two brothers, Travis Crites (Alicia) of Freetown, Indiana and Steve Gault (Katy Murray) of Greenfield, Indiana; a step grandmother, Judy Deppe of Seymour, Indiana; a brother-in-law, Todd Manns of Lexington, Indiana. Funeral Service: 2:00 pm on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Alan Ball officiating. Visitation: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Friday at Collins Funeral Home. Visitation and services will be open to the public as long as social distancing guidelines can be observed and will be limited to 50 people in the building. Please follow the CDC’s recommendations and guidelines while attending the services and face masks will be required due to the governor's executive mandate. Interment will be in Lexington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Reece's Rainbow Special Needs Adoption Support at reecesrainbow.org or Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
