<p>Teresa Clare (Schmidle) Noelke, 95, of Hermann, MO, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021 at StoneBridge Nursing Home in Hermann.</p> <p>Teresa was born in Washington, Missouri on May 19, 1925, the daughter of Paul &amp; Antonia (Willenbrink) Schmidle.</p> <p>She was united in marriage to Maurice Noelke on April 15, 1947 at St. Francis Borgia Church, Washington, Missouri.&nbsp; Her husband preceded her in death on October 16, 2002.</p> <p>Before her marriage Teresa worked as a switchboard operator at the telephone company in Washington.&nbsp; After marriage she was a full time mother and homemaker until her children went to school.&nbsp; She then joined her husband at Noelke Jewelry Store where they worked together many years until their retirement.&nbsp;</p> <p>She was an active member of St. George Church where she served as a volunteer both in the school and in the church.&nbsp; She was a member of St. Elizabeth Sewing Circle, a Charter Member of the Hermann Quilt Guild and the Red Hat Ladies.</p> <p>Teresa enjoyed piecing quilts and hand quilting them.&nbsp; She and her husband took many trips together.&nbsp; They also enjoyed going to dances, dinners and cook out with friends and relaxing on their front porch swing.</p> <p>Teresa is survived by her six children, Barb Struttmann and husband Dave, of Hermann; Mary Wessel, of Bedford, Texas; Paul Noelke and wife Rosella, of Berger, Missouri; Steve Noelke, of St. Louis, Missouri;Nancy Miller and husband Dan, of Aurora, Colorado; and Linda Vanderwerken and husband Vance, of Savannah, Missouri; by 13 grandchildren, Jill Headley, Amy Shaw, Drew Struttmann, Ann Simpson, William T. Wessel, Crystal Fruits, Mallory Price, Nicholas Noelke, Greg Miller, Jeff Miller, Kevin Miller, Emma Vanderwerken, and Clare Vanderwerken and 19 great grandchildren.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. &amp; Mrs. Paul Schmidle and her siblings, Sr. Mary Oda Schmidle, Frances Paul Schmidle, Anthony Schmidle and John Schmidle.</p> <p>Visitation will be held&nbsp; Saturday, March 20th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. George Church, Hermann, where a funeral mass will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Msgr. Gregory Higley officiating.&nbsp; Masks are mandatory to attend services per the families request.</p> <p>Due to Covid, interment will be for immediate family only.&nbsp; Memorials may be given to St. George Church or St. George School.&nbsp; C/O Toedtmann &amp; Grosse Funeral Home.</p>

Teresa Clare (Schmidle) Noelke, 95, of Hermann, MO, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021 at StoneBridge Nursing Home in Hermann.

Teresa was born in Washington, Missouri on May 19, 1925, the daughter of Paul & Antonia (Willenbrink) Schmidle.

She was united in marriage to Maurice Noelke on April 15, 1947 at St. Francis Borgia Church, Washington, Missouri.  Her husband preceded her in death on October 16, 2002.

Before her marriage Teresa worked as a switchboard operator at the telephone company in Washington.  After marriage she was a full time mother and homemaker until her children went to school.  She then joined her husband at Noelke Jewelry Store where they worked together many years until their retirement. 

She was an active member of St. George Church where she served as a volunteer both in the school and in the church.  She was a member of St. Elizabeth Sewing Circle, a Charter Member of the Hermann Quilt Guild and the Red Hat Ladies.
