Darrell Anthony Ward, 55, of Knoxville, TN passed away on March 11, 2021 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital due to complications of the COVID-19 pneumonia virus.  Darrell was born in Dallas, TX to Gordon and Laverne Ward on October 20, 1965.  He graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas, TX.  He married Vicky Miller Hensley on April 10, 2002 in Knoxville, TN.  He held a Broadcasting Degree.  He worked for Knox Auto Parts as a truck driver since June 16, 2008.  When he was not trucking, he hosted karaoke events around the surrounding Knoxville area.  Darrell is preceded in death by his father, Gordon Russell Ward; father-in-law, Fred J. Miller and his grandson Logan Cooke.

Darrell is survived by his wife Vicky; daughter, Brandi Reese; son, Matthew (Vesela Paskova) Ward; daughter, Cheyenne Ward and fiancé Curtis Smith.  Brothers and sisters include Teresa (Arliss) Davenport, Glenda (Ed) Darsey, Donna (Blaine) Buccini, Gerald Ward and Mike Ward; mother, Jimmie Laverne Bedingfield Ward.  Grandchildren include Haley Wagner, Hollie White, Hanna White, Wyatt Cooke and Taylor Cooke.  His former wife Teresa Honeycutt and daughters mother Sally May and spouse Rob as well as, many nieces and nephews.

There will be no funeral services due to the pandemic, as I (Vicky) feel Darrell would want everyone to be safe and not take a chance as he did with this virus.  There will be a video memorial on Facebook and a Celebration of Life Event soon.
