Patricia “Pat” Baclesse, age 74, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas.

Pat was born on May 3, 1946, in Pittsburg, Kansas a daughter to the late Roy and Della (Matlock) Slaughter.  She was the youngest of 8 children.

She attended Linn High School, Graduated from Avila University Cum Laude with an Accounting Degree. 

On November 9, 1963, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Dale Baclesse at St. Mark’s Methodist Church in Overland Park, Kansas.  Dale survives at their home. 

She worked for Farmland Industries and was a natural born leader holding various leadership positions including Division Assistant Controller.

She led a very active retired lifestyle, traveling and project undertaking. She loved her Grandchildren and did her best to attend as many activities as possible that each one participated in.  Gifted leader, seamstress, decorator and designer there was no project she wouldn’t tackle, including a full kitchen remodel fully performed by she and Dale alone.

She was the greatest Mother, Grandma and GiGi that ever was and loved her family above all else always placing them first.

In addition to her husband of 57 years, Pat is survived by two daughters, Michelle Stangohr and her husband Mark of Lenexa, Kansas and Angie Berhorst and her husband Mark of Linn, Missouri; six grandchildren, Brittany Stangohr, Sheriden Stangohr Ploof (Steph), Jarred Stangohr, Cami Stangohr, Lindsey Jaegers (Michael) and Patrick Dickinson (Alexis Farnsworth); six great grandchildren, Lily and Mark Schneider, Preston, Hayden and Tritan Jaegers and Avery Dickinson; three brothers, Lonnie, Lew, and Tom Slaughter; two sisters, Joan Koopman and Vern Kemp; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by a brother, Bub Slaughter and a sister, Joy McClellan.

Visitation will be held from Noon to 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 14, 2021, at Morton Chapel in Linn with Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor William Barkman officiating.  Interment will follow at Linn Public Cemetery.
