Paul Howard Brown, son of the late Willie Sr. and Iva (Cobb) Brown, was born July 14, 1946, in Douglas County, Missouri, and passed away March 10, 2021, at his residence in Mountain Grove, Missouri. Paul grew up in Douglas County and attended Bakersfield, Champion, Fairview, and Vanzant schools and graduated from Mountain Grove High School with the class of 1965. After graduation, he went to work at the Brown Shoe Company and later for the City of Mountain Grove. He enjoyed fishing, watching westerns, and reading anything he would get his hands on, especially western books. He also enjoyed attending the community picnics. Paul was saved and baptized in Bado Creek on September 22, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Clifford Brown, Archie Brown, Willie Brown, Jr. and Ivel Brown, four sisters, Pauline Singleton, Irene Rhodes, Leota Jefferys, and Judy Jefferys. Paul is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Travis (Ernie “Chip”) of Houston, Missouri, and Tracy Smith (Wesley) of Fordland, Missouri, three brothers, Robert Brown of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Lee Brown of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Alfred Brown (Clovis) of Ozark, Missouri, two sisters, Eunice Walker (John) of Manistique, Michigan, and Judy Ann Fitzhugh (Garland) of Ozark, Missouri, five grandchildren, Trevor Mitchell, Dakota Mitchell, Gabriel Travis, Cole Smith, and Hunter Smith, and many nieces and nephews who will sadly miss him.
