Catherine "Kaye" DiLungo Amore of East Haven died peacefully January 22, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Vincenzo "Jim" Amore. She was born in New Haven on October 10, 1928 to the late Pasquale and Ann Campriello DiLungo and was a property manager for Paredim Partners for many years. The center of Kaye's life was her family. She loved having a house full of people, cooking side by side with her children and grandchildren. She had a quick wit and a spry sense of humor. Kaye loved her daughters Michelle (Milton) Rodriguez, Ann Marie (Louis) Cerrone, Paula (Paul) Marcati, Patricia Amore (Arthur DaCunto, Jr.) and her late daughter Kathleen M. "KK" Amore Franco. She was the sister of Mary Clarino and the late Frank, Nicholas and Pasquale "Patsy" DiLungo. Kaye absolutely adored her 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be Wednesday evening from 4-7pm at the IOVANNE FUNERAL HOME, INC. 11 Wooster Pl. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 10am in Our Lady of Pompeii Church, Foxon Rd. East Haven, Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
