Anna M. Eberhart Reisterstown, Maryland Obituary

Anna M. Eberhart

Anna M. Eberhart, 68, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on March 9, 2021. She is survived by her husband Joseph W. Eberhart III, children and spouses Laura and Taylor Goodman, John and Juli Eberhart, and Rebecca and David Kemp, grandchildren, Charlie, Madeline, Leah, and Emily, and a large and loving extended family. Anna and Joe were devoted to one another in marriage for 48 years. Words can’t adequately describe the beautiful woman who was Anna, also known to her loved ones as Nana, Ann-Marie, An, Aunt Anna, Mom, and Maw-Maw. She had an insatiable curiosity and loved to research and learn everything about any subject she found interesting. She was a walking medical encyclopedia, had a prolific vocabulary, knew every bird by their sound, and could tell you the name of a plant by the shape of just one leaf. She had a sweet tooth, and was known to eat an entire pan of brownies in the middle of the night. She was once named “Top Ten People to Follow” on Pinterest. Her imagination knew no boundaries, and she encouraged her grandchildren in anything they fancied. She devoted her life to raising her children, volunteering in her church community, and tending her beautiful garden. She taught preschool, worked in retail, and really hated to cook. Anna became an expert at raising chickens, loved Downton Abbey, British murder mysteries, and Gilmore Girls, and taught herself to draw upside down with her left hand. She loved Janis Joplin and Leonard Skynard, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and her dog, Abby. Anna adored a good cup of hot coffee with enough sugar that the spoon stood up, and an ice cold Coca-Cola was her go to cure-all for everything from a headache to heartbreak. Her favorite place in the world was sitting on the beach with her toes in the sand. Anna faced innumerable challenges with strength, dignity, and grace. Her passing leaves an unimaginable void in the hearts of her family and friends. A private visitation will be held on Sunday for immediate family, and a memorial service is being planned for late spring. She is predeceased by her mother, Caroline Hughes Conrad, father, Grover Conrad, sister, Patricia Klaput, and nephew, Jesse Klaput.
