<p>It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Dale Martin Duffy, age 64 of Scottsdale, AZ&nbsp; shares the news of his passing at his home on March 8th, 2021.&nbsp; His death was sudden and unexpected and leaves a huge hole in the heart of his family.</p> <p>Dale was born on November 30th 1956 in Garfield Heights, Ohio to Dale Palmer Duffy and Helen Corcoran Duffy.&nbsp; The oldest of five children, Dale spent his early years in Ohio but later moved to Lisbon, NY where he graduated high school and started his first business as an equipment operator.&nbsp; Dale always had a tremendous work ethic and put himself into any job he took on.&nbsp; In 1979 he met Susan McGrath Duffy and married two years later in Phoenix, Az where his first two children were born.&nbsp; In 1985 the couple returned to New York and in 1987 had their youngest daughter.&nbsp; He built a beautiful home for his family with his own two hands and the help of a few friends on the weekends where he and his children were able to create beautiful memories riding dirt bikes, fishing and enjoying the outdoors as he did.&nbsp; While his businesses moved him around over the years he eventually returned to&nbsp; AZ to be near his Mother and the wild nature that he loved so much.&nbsp; He started and grew Inspect Arizona Companies and founded the National Association of Commercial Building Inspectors&nbsp; NACBI.org. He had the best laugh and an easy way that made him loved by so many.</p> <p>Dale is survived by his three children, Nicole Thompson and her husband Greg&nbsp; of Waddington, NY, Daniel Duffy and his wife Dodi Duffy of Clearwater, FL and Sarah Lynn Duffy of Clearwater, FL.&nbsp; He also leaves behind his closest friend and Mother Helen Corcoran Duffy of Scottsdale, AZ, siblings Gary Duffy Scottsdale, Az,&nbsp; Lynn Duffy, Scottsdale, Az,&nbsp; Patrick Duffy, Scottsdale, AZ and Donna Barnard and husband Bill , St. Louis, MO.&nbsp; He will be missed by his 9 grandchildren Nathaniel, Emma, Grace, Isaiah, Austin, Sean, Brady, Cason and Jayden and expecting another boy this summer.&nbsp; Dale also had several nieces and nephews and was especially close to his oldest niece Kayla Duffy Stein who he loved like his own. He was preceded in death by his Father Dale Palmer Duffy.</p> <p>There will be no calling hours or service at this time.&nbsp; The family discovered a couple of years ago that Dales ancestors travelled from Ireland to Waddington NY and helped build St. Mary&rsquo;s Church and cemetery where many of his ancestors are laid to rest.&nbsp; The family will gather together this summer in Waddington, NY &nbsp;to celebrate his beautiful life and to join him to his Duffy family.&nbsp;</p> <p>Please share your stories and photos of Dale on this site so that we may all remember him together.
