Ada L. Jones, 82, of Harrisburg, passed away Sunday January 29, 2017, at Harrisburg Hospital. Born February 24, 1934, in Liberty Township, Montour County, she was a daughter of the late Hugh E. and Mary I. (Springer) Jones. Ada spent her adult life caring for others as a Nursing Assistant. A faithful and dedicated member of Progress Church of God, the church and her church family were extremely important to her; and, she was appreciative of the tremendous support and kindness she received throughout the years. She looked forward to, and received great personal and spiritual satisfaction from, the annual Church Camp. Ada also enjoyed playing Bingo and Darts. Ada is survived by her sister, Eloise Sommers, of Danville, brothers, Herman Jones of Danville and William Jones of Hughesville, as well as, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Jones. Her Memorial Service will be held on Saturday February 4, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Progress Church of God, 3494 Old Orchard Road, with Rev. Barbara H. Maurice, officiating. Ada was privately laid to rest in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
