Susan Elaine Hendrix

Mrs. Susan Elaine Lloyd Hendrix, 75, died Monday afternoon (March 8, 2021) at UF Health in Jacksonville, FL. She was born in Charlton County, but she lived most of her life in Waycross. Susan graduated from cosmetology school and worked as a hairdresser for 35 years. She was employed by the Ware County Sheriff’s Department as a bailiff for 17 years. Susan was a member of Kettle Creek Church. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Madison Henry Lloyd, Sr. and Nora Louise Popham Lloyd; husband, William “Bill” Lamar Hendrix, Sr.; siblings, Harold V. Lloyd, Ray L. Lloyd, Sr., David “PeeWee” Lloyd, Madison Henry “Hank” Lloyd, Jr., Francis Rhodenberry, Dorothy Dekle and Lucille Petty; and brother-in-law, Earl Crews. Survivors include three children, Tammy Hendrix Baker (Glen) of Waycross, William “Billy” Lamar Hendrix, Jr. (fiance Patricia Edenfield) of Gray, GA, and Nora Hendrix Hiers (Scotty) of Waycross; grandchildren, Caleb Baker (Bly), Cody Baker (Sarah), Jordan Owens (Robert) and Caleb Hiers (Kalynne); great grandchildren, Brodie Baker, Addie Baker, Harlie Baker, Trey Owens and Rowen Hiers; five sisters, Marion Music (late Kenneth), Pansy Cox (Leland), JoAnn McQuaig (Ronnie), Janice Hendrix (Hershell) and Sandra Henderson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday (March 12, 2021) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Kettle Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
