Piedmont - Shirley Ballard Ellison, 84, wife of the late William Vernon Ellison, passed away Monday, March 8, 2021 at her home. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Carl Henry and Edna Earle Stoner Ballard. She retired from Delta Woodside and was a member of Siloam Baptist Church. Survivors include daughters, Belinda Ellison and Barbara King (Tim); son, Bill Ellison (Teresa); three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by siblings, J.T. Ballard, Carl Ballard, Jr., Earl Ballard, and Margaret Hendrix. Friends and family are invited to an outdoor memorial luncheon at her home on Friday, March 12, at 1:00 p.m. Due to Covid-19, the family requests that masks be worn and social distancing observed.
