Earnestine I Sisco Obituary

Earnestine Iola Sisco, affectionately known as “NaNa”, was born to the late Clarence “Hap” Sisco and Catherine M. Sisco , on August 14, 1928. She departed this life on Monday, March 8, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Earnestine attended public school in Kent County Maryland. She worked all of her life as a seafood processer, supporting the Watermen of Rock Hall, Maryland, and she was great at it. Earnestine loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. In her later years, she enjoyed shopping, receiving cards and gifts, doing her find-a-word puzzles, playing cards and listening to music. Her special hobby was working in her flower garden. Earnestine would marvel at the outcome of what she had planted. Her favorite plant was the Roast Beef Plant. She always wanted everybody who stopped by to take a piece of it. She also loved attending Adult Day Care at the Kent County Health Department. Earnestine had unconditional love for all, especially her grandchildren. She had an individual relationship with each and every one of them. They will have great memories over the years to come. Earnestine was proud to have lived to see five generations in her family line. Earnestine was preceded death by her sisters, Mildred Harris, Erma Brown, Clara Scott and Catherine Jarrett; brothers, George Sisco, Charles Sisco and Sylvester Sisco; one daughter, Norma Phillips; and two grandchildren, Kayleen Hopkins and Charles “Kippie” Phillips. Earnestine leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Betty Hicks, Aurthur Tilghman, Sandra Lee, Juanita Rochester, Darlene Stouts, Mahshan Hopkins and Ericka Lee; grandchildren, Lamont Phillips, Rotina Daniels, Arthur Lee (JR), Terelle Humphries, Zakia Harris, Kashiya Kennard, Tiaira Kennard, Quanay Wilson, Darryle Dorsey, Shanara Lee, Kiara Smith, Darius Waits, Kenisha Commodore, Amyra Salandy and Amira Salandy; 24 great-grandchildren; nieces, Katherine Broadway, Maryann Johnson, Wanda Sisco and Kathryn Sutherland; nephews, Andre Sisco, Roger Brown, Charles Scott, Jew Scott and Curtis Harris; special adopted children, Raul and Jennifer Parks; adopted grandson, Jevonte Dozier; special caretaker, Miss Keyonte Perkins; and a host of great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
