John F. Fitzgerald

John Fitzgerald, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2021. John was born and raised in Arlington, MA. He graduated from Salem Teachers College in Salem, MA. After graduation, John enlisted in The United States Army and was stationed at Ft. Dix, NJ.  He was honorably discharged in 1960 and began his teaching career in New Jersey, where he eventually settled in Bordentown and remained for the rest of his life. John taught school at McGuire Air Force Base Elementary School and was part of the North Hanover Township School system.  He was a proud NJEA union member.  John was a lover of the Arts. He attended many plays and shows at McCarter Theater in Princeton. He also saw multiple shows on Broadway and has an extensive collection of Playbills signed by the actors. John collected stamps and coins. He loved seeing the stamps in his books and was still collecting them up until his death. 
John was very social and enjoyed his life. He was often in New Hope and could be seen at the Raven on Sunday afternoons. He enjoyed eating out at the restaurants in the Lambertville/New Hope area and Bordentown. 
John was an official member of the Young and Restless Fan Club. He loved the show. He had signed pictures of the actors and watched the show faithfully. 
Son of the late William and Ellen Fitzgerald, he is predeceased by his brother-in-law, Donald S. Mosley, he is survived by his sister, Maura Mosley, his nieces and nephews, close friends Carol Hill, Larry Denney and many dear friends. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday March 10, 2021 10:00am at Mary Mother of teh church parish 45 Crosswicks St. Bordentown NJ 08505. Burial will be private. Arrangements are under the direct care and supervision of Robert L. Pecht, Bordentown Home for Funerals 40 Crosswicks St. Bordentown, NJ 08505.
