Charles Edward Long, 65, of Purdin, Missouri passed away at his home on March 3rd, 2021. Charles was born on May 14th, 1955 to William Long and Bernice (Deeds) Long the youngest of nine children. On Feburary 7, 1975, Charles married Teresa Linhart and to this union two children were born, Brian Joseph and Bradley Keith both of Milan. Then on May 14th, 1995 he was remarried to Glenda Ellis. He is survived by his wife Glenda of the home; sons Brian (Tanisha) Long and Bradley (April) Long of Milan; four grandchildren, Keisha, Roger, Jarrod, Alison; one great grandchild, Janielle; brothers, Donnie (Janice) Long, Dean (Linda) Long, and Billy Long; sisters, Delores (Phillip) Lawrence, Virginia Hale, and Kathy Woods; along with several neices and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his parents; brothers, Eddie Long and Eugene Long; and step-son, Larry Ellis. Charles was a graduate of Milan C-II. He later joined the Navy, leaving the Navy with a rank of ES. He had recently retired from Smithfield Foods. He also loved to collect guns and study the Bible. There will be a private graveside service at a later date. In lieu of flower contributions may be made to his wife, Glenda Long.
