Ronald Scott Parker

Ronald Scott Parker, 43, Known by many of his friends as Parker, Scotty, Parkside, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly, due to health complications on January 22, 2017. Scott was a native of Virginia Beach and spent his school years at Norfolk Christian School, with a senior high school year at Frank W. Cox HS. Scott received a degree in Psychology from George Mason University. He was so loved, so much fun, such a caring person. He never denied a favor to a friend. Scott loved the outdoors and especially extreme snowboarding hiking and biking the mountains, and body boarding when home in Virginia Beach. After college he settled in Breckenridge, Co. for several years. Later Scott spent some years as a rafting guide for the Yellowstone Rafting Company and then as a mountain worker for the Whitefish Mountain in Montana. He even worked for a time in Alaska in the salmon fishing industry. He was a true lover of the beauty of God's nature and the outdoors. Scott is survived by his Father, Ronald J. Parker, and his wife, Pamela; his mother, Claudia Brown, and her husband, William Wright; his sister, Megan L. Parker of Denver, Co.; he is also survived by extended family and many long term friends. He is also survived by his best friend and former wife, Susan Frasher. He was predeceased by his grandparents and his two beloved dogs Rusty and Luna. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Laskin Road Chapel, and a memorial service will be conducted Friday at 4:00PM at Virginia Beach Community Chapel 1261 Laskin road. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 28105.
