Alfred Schuster, 76, of Norwalk died on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Norwalk Hospital following a short illness. He was married for over 40 years to the former Francine DeAngelo, who survives him. Born on June 7, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Selma (Kuscher) and Louis Schuster. Al served as a lieutenant on the USS Enterprise for four years during the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of Baruch College, where he also received his Master’s Degree. Al retired in 2012 after serving for many years as the Comptroller of the Accessory Network Group LLC in NYC.
In addition to his beloved wife, Fran, he is survived by a sister, Roberta, and her husband, Norman Lev of Manhasset NY, brothers, Charles Schuster (Flora) and Jerry Schuster (Ann). He leaves behind sister-in-law, Linda Cureton, and brother-in-law, Tom McElhenney. Al will be deeply missed by his beloved nieces and nephews; Brett Lev Seaman (Eric), Peter Lev (Elise), Adam (Jen) Schuster, Lauren Schuster Euell (Matt), Toby Schuster, Paul Schuster, Thomas McElhenney (Regina). Also surviving are grand nieces and nephews Jacob and Stephanie Lev, Charlotte and Evann Seaman, Harper and Ruby Euell, and Jackson and Logan Schuster.
Al was devoted to his family, friends and to the community as well. If anyone was in need of help, Al was the man to call. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Memorial donations may be made in Al’s memory to the Meals on Wheels program at the Norwalk Senior Center.
