Theresa Wilson

Theresa Wilson "Nanny", 91, of Somers, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. She was born on February 19, 1930, in Lansing, MI, the daughter to the late Alphonse and Julia Vogler. Theresa graduated from James Monroe High School in the Bronx, NY, and went on to marry her high school sweetheart, Charles Wilson. Married for 68 wonderful years, they had six beloved children and seven grandchildren. Her family was her greatest joy in life. She was a devoted wife and mother, and loving grandmother. Her life was guided by her strong Catholic faith and she was an avid believer in the power of the rosary. Theresa was an animal lover and enjoyed nature and flowers, especially roses. She had a great sense of humor and quick wit. She will be deeply missed by her family. In addition to her husband, Charles, of Somers, she is survived by her six children, Charles Wilson III, of Somers, CT, Virginia Wilson and her husband, Paul Krashefski, of Margate, FL, Jeffrey Wilson and his wife, Debbie, of Stafford Springs, CT, Richard Wilson and Eileen of Somers, CT, David Wilson of Somers, CT, and Theresa Fox and her husband, John, of Colchester, CT; seven grandchildren, Justin Krashefski, Sabrina Wilson, Zachary Wilson, Rachael Wilson, Ryan Wilson, Natalie Fox, and Luke Fox. She was predeceased by her four brothers and two sisters. Somers Funeral Home has care of the arrangements. A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Bernard Church, 426 Hazard Ave., Enfield, CT 06082. Burial will be held privately.
