<p>Marie Bellamy, formerly of Aynor, passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021, in Baltimore.&nbsp;</p> <h1 style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family:comic sans ms,arial;"><strong>Reflections of Life</strong></span></h1> <p><em><strong>Mrs. Marie Huffman Bellamy</strong></em> was born to the late John and Gracie Godbolt Huffman on October 3, 1937, in Bayboro, South Carolina in Horry County. She entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at the home of her daughter following an illness. She was affectionally known to her family as &ldquo;Titty,&rdquo; which was the nickname given to her by her father.&nbsp;</p> <p>Marie was united in holy matrimony to the late Jessie Willard Bellamy, Jr. on November 28, 1958; to this union, one child was born. She was preceded in death by her parents, 6 sisters, and 5 brothers.</p> <p>Marie attended school at Aynor (Allen) School and Whittemore High School in Conway, SC. She furthered her education and graduated nursing school in Baltimore, Maryland. She was employed as a registered nurse at the University Hospital of Maryland and The Johns Hopkins Hospital until she retired. After retirement, she continued doing private duty for several elderly patients and also worked for Baltimore County Schools.</p> <p>Marie accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and attended St. Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church in Aynor, SC. Upon moving to Baltimore, MD she joined St. John Baptist Church, 2929 Dupont Avenue. She served diligently on the usher board and was a faithful member until her health declined.</p> <p>Marie could move a room with her voice and tell stories of the olden days. She loved throwing dinner parties and also giving her mother flowers while she was alive. She loved and gave encouraging advice to all her nieces and nephews.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Marie leaves to cherish her loving and fond memories&hellip;. A loving and devoted daughter: Cynthia Bellamy of Baltimore, MD; One grandson: Antoine Northan of the home; One great-grandson: Jaquan Northan and One great-great-grandson: Jah-Cei Northan both of Baltimore, MD. Two sisters: Sadie Johnson of Baltimore, MD and Maebell Bird (Lafayette) of Willingboro, NJ; Three sisters-in-law: Sarah Mae Huffman of Aynor, SC; Mary B. Washington of Baltimore, MD, and Allene &ldquo;Ronnie&rdquo; B. McDonald of Conway, SC; Two brothers-in-law: Wilber Vereen of Aynor, SC and Alonzo Dicky Bellamy (Rosa) of Conway, SC; also eight step-siblings of her late husband Jessie; a special niece: Queenie Ann McKinney of Crofton, MD and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.</p> <p>A graveside service will be held at&nbsp; 1:00 PM, Saturday,&nbsp; March 13, 2021, at Huffman Cemetery,&nbsp; Aynor, SC.&nbsp; Ocean View Funeral Home, Conway Chapel is assisting the Bellamy family.&nbsp;</p>

Reflections of Life

Mrs. Marie Huffman Bellamy was born to the late John and Gracie Godbolt Huffman on October 3, 1937, in Bayboro, South Carolina in Horry County. A graveside service will be held at  1:00 PM, Saturday,  March 13, 2021, at Huffman Cemetery,  Aynor, SC.  Ocean View Funeral Home, Conway Chapel is assisting the Bellamy family.
