Annette J. Daigle Dracut, Massachusetts Obituary

Annette J. Daigle

Annette J. (Marquis) Daigle, 87, resident of Tyngsboro, MA passed away on February 27, 2021. Annette was the loving wife for 67 years to Donald J. Daigle who survives her. Known as “Mem” to her grandchildren and so many others, she epitomized the role of loving grandmother or memere. Annette’s grand children and great grand children were her pride and joy and she spoiled them unapologetically. One of Annette’s special gifts was that she made everyone feel good about themselves. All were welcomed into Annette’s kitchen and nobody ever left hungry! Full of joy and kindness, Annette was always quick with a smile or hug. In return for her genuine warmth, Annette was loved by all who knew her. She made us laugh with her witty sense of humor and great one-liners that were characteristically Annette. She especially loved babies and never missed an opportunity to hold or comment about a cute baby, even if in a stranger’s arms. Smart, resourceful, and with boundless energy, Annette took great pride in creating a beautiful home for her family. In moments of joy and in need, Annette found strength in her faith. She constantly expressed her gratefulness to God and had a strong devotion to the Blessed Virgin. Annette believed in and lived the life of charity to others. Her favorite holiday was Christmas because it was the time of giving. Annette always hoped to win the lottery but not for her own gain; she wanted to give her winnings to less fortunate people. Born in Lowell, MA on June 6, 1933, Annette was the daughter of Emile and Rosia (Tellier) Marquis. She attended local parochial schools. After her children were grown, she worked at Piconics Industries in Tyngsboro until her retirement. Besides her husband, Annette is survived by her children Elaine O’Connell and her husband Geoffrey, Diane Sarantakis and her husband John, Denise Falk and her husband Peter and Donna Hawkins and her husband Timothy; eight grandchildren, Lindsay Daigle and her significant other Gerard Kayata, Meaghan Daigle, Derek Daigle and his fiancé Jessica Abreu, Patrick O’Connell, Jacqueline O’Connell, Eve Falk, Molly Hawkins and Ryan Hawkins; 5 great-grandchildren, Alli Daigle, Richie McCarthy, Corey Reedy, Ava Reedy, and Peyton Daigle; and a sister, Jeanne Richards of California. She is preceded in death by her son Ronald J. Daigle; sisters Violette Berard, Paulette St. Arnaud, Doris Drouin and by brothers Roland Marquis, Roger Marquis, and Louis Marquis. Annette’s family would like to thank the many people who loved, helped and supported them during these trying times. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, March 13 at 11:00 am at St. Christopher’s Parish located at 62 Manchester Street in Nashua, NH. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452, with a notation “In Memory of Annette Daigle.” A private burial will be held at a later date.
