This gentle, quiet and giving man was willing to help out everyone in any manner he could. This is part of his legacy. Frank is survived by his loving wife Frances ‘Pat’ Fuentes of Corona. They enjoyed 68 years of marriage together. Frank and Frances grew up together in Casa Blanca, Riverside where their families were intertwined. After marriage, they moved to Corona where they purchased their home, and raised their six children Frank Fuentes Jr., Cynthia Fuentes-Sevilla married to Robert, Andres Fuentes Sr., Rebecca Fuentes-Ventura, Michael Fuentes Sr., and Robert Fuentes Sr. reunited now in heaven. His sons Frank Jr., Andres Fuentes Sr. and Michael Fuentes Sr. were all distinguished members of the Armed Forces leading him to continually donate and support the Wounded Warrior Project. Frank and Frances’ fourteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren are what delighted and enhanced his life. Frank Fuentes Jr. and Catie’s children, Marlena and Joe Reyes, parents of Maverick and Cade; DeAnna and George Wannis, parents of Ava and Andie; Felicia Fuentes mother of Khira; Frank Fuentes III and Stephanie parents of Faith; and Fran and Nick Wingate parents of Liia. Robert Fuentes Sr. and Diane’s children, Robert Jr.; Lisa Fuentes, parent of Angela, Rebekah, and Joseph. Frank was one of eleven children of Panfilo Fuentes and Francisca Raya Fuentes. Children Felipe Fuentes, Carmen Alcantar-Johnson, Rita Peraza, Mary Corona, Joe Fuentes, and surviving siblings Theresa Lopez of Redlands, Tony Fuentes of Arkansas, Edward ‘Lito’ Fuentes of Riverside, Panfilo ‘Tano’ Fuentes of Bakersfield, and Margarita ‘Lupe’ Robles of Walnut. The family were migrant farm workers spending summers at the camps on Tagus Ranch in Tulare. The rest of their time was spent at their home in Casa Blanca on Fern Street. Frank was a fast learner and a very hard worker. He spent his youth harvesting fruits and vegetables between Fresno and Riverside. Frank’s all time favorite job was being a citrus worker and a foreman driving a picking bus because he loved the outdoors and the comradery. His growing family required him to find different employment. He was a foreman at Sunkist Lemon Products for 15 years, he also worked at Alcoa, International Furniture, and Trade West. Every job Frank had, brought him to a new level of financial growth to support his family. His final job was at Rohr Aircraft, where he eventually retired. His work ethic and timeliness were always exemplary. After retirement he spent his time donating to his church, gardening, helping his children and grandchildren fix and maintain their vehicles. He loved to be of assistance to all his family and we were all so very thankful and blessed by his unselfishness. He relished eating out in his community of Corona. Sunday mornings after church you could find him and Frances eating breakfast at Eduardos, The Silver Dollar Pancake House, or brunching at the Sizzler. Frank and Frances were both long time parishioners at St. Edwards Church. Their devotion to their Catholic faith led them to many years of volunteer work at St. Edwards Church and the Thrift Store. Up until recently you could find him cutting the lawn outside of the store. Frank and Frances were loyal attendants at the 9:30 mass on Sundays. Frank remained a busy and loyal family man who has truly earned his place in heaven.
