Alma Jo Gandy, 91, of Tatum, NM was born on February 1, 1930 in Vernon, Texas to Elmer and Cleo (Oliver) Lynch and passed away on February 8, 2021 at her residence. She grew up close to Crossroads and attended school at Bluitt, NM and then high school in Bledsoe, TX. On February 3, 1948 she married Ted Gandy in Morton, Texas and they shared sixty three years of life, love and family together, before his death. Alma enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing. She also did a lot of crafts and made many beautiful quilts. She had a great collection of critters that she loved very much. In early years, she enjoyed fishing and was a very good cook. She will be greatly missed. Preceding her in death were her parents, Elmer and Cleo and her husband, Ted; one grandchild: Sam; two brothers: Sonny and Edgar and two sisters: Bessie and Lanell. Surviving her are two sons: Ted and wife Wilma Gandy of Lovington and Tommy and wife Teresa Gandy of Crossroads; one daughter Linda Eckstine of Decatur, TX one brother: Ronnie Lynch of Tampa, Florida; one sister: Nancy and husband Charles Peterson of Sadler, TX. Also Grandchildren: Valerie and husband Charles Clark of Goldsmith, TX; Camille Gandy of Kissimmee, FL; Brayden Gandy of Lovington ; Dean Hammons of Granbury, TX; Rebecca Gandy of San Antonio, TX; Harlea Gandy of Crossroads and numerous great and great-great grandchildren and extended family.
