Gregory L. Eveland, 70, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 27, 2021. Greg was born on July 8, 1950, the son of Jim and Arlyn (Brennum) Eveland. He graduated from Potosi High School in 1968. Greg was artistic, intelligent with a witty sense of humor and he loved to talk with his children, grandchildren and siblings about their lives, sports, and politics. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting with his brothers and son, skipping rocks at The Point, or enjoying a cup of coffee. Greg was excited to share the treasures he found at antique shops and auctions. His dog, Dew, was a faithful companion, never leaving his side and showering him with affection. It was blessing for Greg to spend the past few years with his son, Sammy, and his family. We are grateful for the care and comfort they provided him. Greg is survived by four children, Jennifer (John) Ingebritsen, Nate (Tina) Eveland, Andrea Taylor, and Sam Eveland; 9 grandchildren, Ryan, Sarah Claire, and Claudia Ingebritsen; Mitchell (Sarah), Sydney, William, and Andrew Taylor; Nora and Henry Eveland; 1 great-grandchild Vivian Taylor; 5 brothers and sisters, Alan (Joyce), Cindy (Ron) Weber, Michael, Kristi (Tim) Murray, and Mark (Laura); and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and former wife Karen (Pluemer) Eveland. Arrangements are with Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service.
