<p>Daniel Wayne O&#39;Brien, 36, of Swanton, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2021. &nbsp;Born on August 9, 1984, in Oakland, he was the son of Ronald W.&nbsp;and Kimberly J. (Skipper) O&#39;Brien.<br /> <br /> Danny is survived by a daughter, Kennedy M. O&#39;Brien; paternal grandmother, Betty E. O&#39;Brien; aunt&nbsp;Beverly (John) Sisler, aunt&nbsp;Carolyn (John) Livengood, aunt&nbsp;Rita (Ronald) Savage, uncle Robert (Brenda) O&#39;Brien, aunt Jane (Charlie) Roberson; extended family, Steve Miller, Jason Miller, Misty Moon, Heidi Harvey, Jeff Droppleman, Jamie Droppleman, Brandon Roberson, Jason Skipper and Lorie Hardman; and numerous other cousins.<br /> <br /> Danny was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mildred and Lawrence &quot;Chub&quot; Skipper; his paternal grandfather, Daniel Glen O&#39;Brien; an uncle, Robert Skipper; and a cousin, Timothy J. &quot;Bear&quot; Sisler.<br /> <br /> Danny was a graduate of Southern Garrett High School Class of 2002. He graduated Salutatorian of Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics with a degree in Airframe. He also graduated Valedictorian with a degree in Electronics. Danny was employed for Garrett County 911 systems for two years and Garrett County Public works for 14 years.<br /> <br /> Danny was a quiet, reserved person who loved deeply as was seen in his love for his daughter. He enjoyed derbying with his buddies, Clinger, Justin, Tiffany and Evans. Danny was a loving, caring person who loved helping people as was evident in his dedication to the Deer Park Fire Department where he served as captain for several years. He was dedicated to the family farm as he helped his uncle Bob and aunt Brenda make hay. He also enjoyed hunting, dirt track racing and NASCAR.<br /> <br /> Friends will be received at the C &amp; S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private. &nbsp;Face masks and social distancing are required and if you or a family member are feeling ill, we ask that you stay home and visit with the family at a later time.<br /> <br /> Memorial contributions may be directed to the Deer Park Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 3152, Deer Park, MD 21550.<br /> <br /> The C &amp; S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., Oakland is honored to be serving the O&#39;Brien family at this time.</p>

Daniel Wayne O'Brien, 36, of Swanton, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2021.  Born on August 9, 1984, in Oakland, he was the son of Ronald W. and Kimberly J. (Skipper) O'Brien.

Danny is survived by a daughter, Kennedy M. O'Brien; paternal grandmother, Betty E. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at 11:00 AM.
