She was born in Granville County on February 14, 1935 to her now predeceased parents, Furnie O. Dickerson, and Laurie N. Kearney Dickerson. Dora Lee was a member of Hester Baptist Church and worked as an Office Manager for Waste Industries, Inc. in Oxford and was a Certified Substitute Teacher. Mrs. Adcock is survived by her daughters, Lisa Jean Adcock of Oxford, NC, and Julie Adcock Ferrell (Jimmy) of Zebulon, NC; grandson, James Peyton Ferrell; brother, Bob N. Dickerson (Ellen) of Lexington, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dora Lee is also survived by many more loving extended family members and friends. Mrs. Adcock is the widow of Roy T. Adcock; and predeceased by her sister, Dorothy “Dot” Watson; and brothers, Ormond Dickerson, Bryson Dickerson, and Carlton Dickerson. A drive-thru visitation will be RESCHEDULED for a later date. A private memorial service will be held for the family with Rev. Jeff Hensley officiating.
