Sanford ”Big Stew” Jr, 60, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2021, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born on July 9, 1960 to Daisy Grier and Sanford Stewart Sr. in Toledo, Ohio.

He graduated from Scott High School. Stew, as he was affectionately called by his family and friends was a devoted and loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Although he did not have a church home at the time of his passing, he accepted Christ as his Savior and was a believer.

Sanford worked on and off with Thompson Construction and Concrete. He enjoyed playing chess and spending time with his family and friend.
Sanford was known to others as being openly expressive and speaking whats on his mind and also being good with his hands.

Sanford was preceded in death by his parents, grandmother, Emma Thomas and brother, Lonnie Stewart. Left to cherish his memories are his daughters, Latasha , Jaquonda Toney, and LaToya Stewart; son, Sanford (Danielle) III; sisters, Patricia Jordan, Sharon Stewart, of Anchorage, Alaska and Deborah Stewart, and Darnyell Stewart, both of Toledo; brothers, Rodney, Thronus (Charity), Kevin and M’Boya Stewart, all of Toledo; grandchildren, Dashawn Coleman, Jaron and Jorenzo Phillips, Sunai, Sanford IV, Detreon Stewart, Latara Harris, Setephen Edge Jr. and Turris Love Jr; great-grandchildren, Carmella and Amilliana Stewart; special aunt, Theres Thompson; special friends Jacqueline Hadley, Larry Calhoun and John white and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
