Malone “Butch” Belote, age 83 of Gallatin, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at The Waters of Gallatin.

A native of Sumner County, he was born to the late Jere O. Belote and Ruth (Sterling) Belote.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Sam Belote, Frank Belote, and Carolyn McKee Payne.

Mr. Belote spent most of his life in the grocery business, where he owned Harvey’s Market in Nashville.

He is survived by his children, Malone Belote Jr., Marilla Belote, Charlie Belote and his wife Donna, Lee Belote, and Alicia Lloyd and her husband Nate; eight grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Graveside service for Malone “Butch” Belote will be conducted on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at Crestview Memory Gardens with Mike Belote officiating. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 12:00 Noon until 2:30 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home.
