H&eacute;l&egrave;ne Poiron s.d.s; sa belle-s&oelig;ur Louise Poiron; ses ni&egrave;ces et neveux, Denise Poiron (Don Fraser), Florent (Grace) Poiron, Ang&egrave;le Poiron, Th&eacute;r&egrave;se Van Den Bussche, Maurice Poiron, Rose (Robert) Johnson, George&nbsp;Poiron, Lucille (Ray) Fehr, Claude (Doris) Poiron, Diane (Alan) Toupin, Jean (Jeanne) Poiron, Louis (Johanne) Poiron, Gis&egrave;le (G&eacute;rald) Rondeau, Jules (RoseLynn) Poiron et Lise (Guy) Rouire ainsi que leurs familles et de nombreux parents et amis.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;">Ren&eacute; est pr&eacute;d&eacute;c&eacute;d&eacute; par ses parents Rogatien et Marthe Poiron (n&eacute;e Wasse); ses fr&egrave;res, Norbert Poiron, Roger (Anita) Poiron et Victor Poiron et sa ni&egrave;ce Suzanne Poiron et neveu par alliance Dan Van Den Bussche.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;">Ren&eacute; est n&eacute; &agrave; Somerset, Manitoba, le 21 d&eacute;cembre 1929.&nbsp; Il &eacute;tait le quatri&egrave;me enfant de sa famille, n&eacute;anmoins il &eacute;tait toujours le plus grand.&nbsp; Il a travaill&eacute; pendant plusieurs ann&eacute;es sur les terrains avec ses fr&egrave;res et s&rsquo;occupait en m&ecirc;me temps du poulailler.&nbsp; Ren&eacute; aidait souvent ses belles-s&oelig;urs &agrave; faire la garde de ses neveux et ni&egrave;ces.&nbsp; Lors de sa jeunesse, il a adopt&eacute; un habit sp&eacute;cial, casquette et uniforme, ce qui lui a donn&eacute; son identit&eacute; et une certaine autorit&eacute; pendant toute sa vie adulte. Cela l&rsquo;amusait et lui a m&eacute;rit&eacute; le sobriquet de Corporal.&nbsp; Il &eacute;tait un infatigable marcheur passant plusieurs heures &agrave; marcher dans le village et le long de la voie ferr&eacute;e.&nbsp; Il &nbsp;adorait ses promenades en motocyclette avec son fr&egrave;re Victor, explorant plusieurs r&eacute;gions de la province.&nbsp; Lui et son fr&egrave;re allaient aussi faire du camping chaque &eacute;t&eacute; &agrave; Rock Lake et aussi &agrave; Treherne. &nbsp;Il a fait deux voyages outre-mer pour participer &agrave; un p&egrave;lerinage, une fois &agrave; Rome et une deuxi&egrave;me fois &agrave; Lourdes, en France.&nbsp; Ren&eacute; a demeur&eacute; presque tout le temps avec sa m&egrave;re jusqu&rsquo;&agrave; la mort de celle-ci.&nbsp; &Eacute;ventuellement, il a pris r&eacute;sidence au manoir de Somerset et ensuite au Foyer Notre-Dame.&nbsp; Il aimait plut&ocirc;t la tranquillit&eacute; et sa routine. Cependant, on pouvait le trouver au Somerset Food Bar pour son caf&eacute; quotidien ainsi qu&rsquo;aux danses et au cin&eacute;ma, en plus d&rsquo;une pr&eacute;sence immanquable aux c&eacute;r&eacute;monies du Jours du Souvenir. Ren&eacute; aimait aussi les nombreuses&nbsp;&nbsp;promenades avec sa ch&egrave;re s&oelig;ur qui incluait toujours leur participation annuelle au Festival du Voyageur. He was the fourth child in his family, yet he was always the tallest. He worked for numerous years helping out his brothers with the farm work and at the same time looked after the henhouse. Ren&eacute; often helped his sisters-in-law to take care of his nephews and nieces. In his youth, he adopted a unique dress code, cap and uniform, which gave him his identity and a certain authority throughout his adult life. It amused him and earned him the nickname Corporal. He was a tireless walker spending several hours walking around town and along the railroad tracks. He loved his motorcycle rides with his brother Victor, exploring several areas of the province. He and his brother would also go camping every summer in Rock Lake and also in Treherne. He made two trips overseas to participate in a pilgrimage, once to Rome and a second time to Lourdes, France. Ren&eacute; remained with his mother most of his life until her death. Eventually he took up residence at the Somerset Manor and then at Foyer Notre-Dame. He rather liked the tranquility and his routine. However, he could be found at the Somerset Food Bar for his daily coffee, as well as&nbsp; at dances and movies.&nbsp; He had a faithful presence at Remembrance Day ceremonies and also enjoyed many rides and outings with his dear sister, including their annual participation at the Festival du Voyageur. Paisiblement au Foyer Notre-Dame le jeudi 25 février 2021, M. René Poiron est décédé à l'âge de 91 ans.

Il laisse dans le deuil sa sœur S. Hélène Poiron s.d.s; sa belle-sœur Louise Poiron; ses nièces et neveux, Denise Poiron (Don Fraser), Florent (Grace) Poiron, Angèle Poiron, Thérèse Van Den Bussche, Maurice Poiron, Rose (Robert) Johnson, George Poiron, Lucille (Ray) Fehr, Claude (Doris) Poiron, Diane (Alan) Toupin, Jean (Jeanne) Poiron, Louis (Johanne) Poiron, Gisèle (Gérald) Rondeau, Jules (RoseLynn) Poiron et Lise (Guy) Rouire ainsi que leurs familles et de nombreux parents et amis.

René est prédécédé par ses parents Rogatien et Marthe Poiron (née Wasse); ses frères, Norbert Poiron, Roger (Anita) Poiron et Victor Poiron et sa nièce Suzanne Poiron et neveu par alliance Dan Van Den Bussche.

René est né à Somerset, Manitoba, le 21 décembre 1929.  Il était le quatrième enfant de sa famille, néanmoins il était toujours le plus grand.  Il a travaillé pendant plusieurs années sur les terrains avec ses frères et s’occupait en même temps du poulailler.  René aidait souvent ses belles-sœurs à faire la garde de ses neveux et nièces.  Lors de sa jeunesse, il a adopté un habit spécial, casquette et uniforme, ce qui lui a donné son identité et une certaine autorité pendant toute sa vie adulte. Cela l’amusait et lui a mérité le sobriquet de Corporal.  Il était un infatigable marcheur passant plusieurs heures à marcher dans le village et le long de la voie ferrée.  Il  adorait ses promenades en motocyclette avec son frère Victor, explorant plusieurs régions de la province.  Lui et son frère allaient aussi faire du camping chaque été à Rock Lake et aussi à Treherne.  Il a fait deux voyages outre-mer pour participer à un pèlerinage, une fois à Rome et une deuxième fois à Lourdes, en France.  René a demeuré presque tout le temps avec sa mère jusqu’à la mort de celle-ci.  Éventuellement, il a pris résidence au manoir de Somerset et ensuite au Foyer Notre-Dame.  Il aimait plutôt la tranquillité et sa routine. Cependant, on pouvait le trouver au Somerset Food Bar pour son café quotidien ainsi qu’aux danses et au cinéma, en plus d’une présence immanquable aux cérémonies du Jours du Souvenir. René aimait aussi les nombreuses  promenades avec sa chère sœur qui incluait toujours leur participation annuelle au Festival du Voyageur. Au cours de son déclin, il accepté son destin avec bravoure comme le ferait un soldat.

Un service funéraire privé aura lieu au salon funéraire Adam le mercredi 3 mars 2021. Récitation du chapelet à 10h30 suivie de la messe funéraire à 11h avec l’abbé Paulin Akpapupu officiant.
