It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Diane Gray, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at the age of 85. Diane graduated in 1956 from the Queen Elizabeth School of Nursing in Montreal and worked there for many years. In 1976 the family moved to Calgary, where she spent the last years of her nursing career at the Glenmore Auxiliary Hospital. In 1994, she and Archie moved to Strathmore where she volunteered at the local hospital, as well as with the United Church. She leaves to morn, her devoted husband of 62 years, Archie; son, Donald (Bev); daughter, Karen (Eric); daughter, Nancy; granddaughters, Lindsay, Jordan and Danielle; great-grandchildren, Liam and Aria; as well as her sister, Margot; brother, Peter (Gail) and nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Tom Baker Cancer Centre, Foothills Hospital, Strathmore Hospital and the drivers of the Strathmore Handi-bus for all their care and attention over the years. It was so very much appreciated. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre at c/o www.albertacancer.ca/donate/.
