Leroy Nix, III, was born on January 26, 2001 in Columbia, South Carolina.  He transitioned into his spiritual life on February 23, 2021. He was the beloved son of Leroy Nix, II and Erica McLamore of Columbia, SC.  Leroy was educated in the public schools of South Carolina and was a graduate of C.A. Johnson High School.

Leroy was an entrepreneur and a skilled landscaper.  He was very athletic and enjoyed playing basketball, baseball and was a defensive back for C.A. Johnson Hornet’s football team during his high school years.

Leroy was baptized at Zion Kingdom at an early age and grew up attending church and bible study regularly.  Leroy was a loving, and caring person and a joy to be around.  Much happiness was brought to Leroy’s life by spending time with family and friends.  Leroy was a people person who always kept a smile on his face. He was genuine and protective. His gentleness and humility will be greatly missed.

A treasured chest of memories will be shared by many, but forever stored in the hearts of his dearest loved ones.

He was preceded in death by:  aunt, Emma Derrick; grandfather, Leroy Nix, Sr.; aunts, Nancy Ann Johnson and Louise McLamore and cousin Janiyah West.

Leroy leaves to cherish his precious memories, his parents, Leroy Nix, II and Erica McLamore; fiancé, Miquana Harkless; son, Micarie (Leroy) Nix; brothers, Rico McLamore and Malik Minor of Columbia, SC; sisters, Alexus McLamore, Romminiqua McLamore, LeNisha Hughey all of Columbia, SC and Shaide Nix of Charlotte, NC; grandparents, Kathy Nix and Linda McLamore, of Columbia, SC; aunts, Roshelle West of Columbia, SC, and Iva Sheva Nix of Gainesville, FL; uncle, Neanza Nix of Columbia, SC and a host of other loving relatives and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
