Kittery, ME - Robert Abisi, born in Lowell and a resident of Kittery, Maine died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Portsmouth Hospital in Portsmouth, New Hampshire as a result of Covid 19. Robert was the son of the late Gainley and Grace (Kfoury) Abisi. Robert attended Lowell High School, entered the Army at 17 years old and then spent the majority of his career working in marketing, entertainment and sales. In his earlier years he owned and operated a dental lab in Dracut, Ma. Robert was an outstanding storyteller and known for being the life of the party. He always enjoyed making people laugh and everyone thought of him as being the entertainer of the family. Robert’s main interest in life always was centered around his son Rob and his success in the music industry with his group “Lost Kings”. He took pride in taking care of Rob’s friends and making them feel like one of his own. He loved coaching his son and friends in basketball and baseball and was always a great motivational figure. Robert was a great pool player and golfer but an even better father. He was an avid sports fan, enjoying professional sports of all kinds especially the New York Giants. Robert even had a role in the movie “The Fighter” as the barber. Robert was a family man and he loved his home in Kittery, relaxing and spending time with his loving and caring fiancé Hsu Hsien Smith. He is survived and will be deeply missed by his son Rob and his girlfriend Jacqui Algiers of Andover, Ma. His fiancé Hsu Hsien Smith. Robert’s former wife and good friend Maryellen O’Toole of Stoneham, Fredrick Abisi and his wife Patricia of Lowell, Ron Abisi and his wife Donna of Hampton, NH and Joyce Anderson and her husband William of Dracut, and The Shalhoup family as well as several nieces, nephews cousins and friends. Robert was predeceased by his sister, Mary Denise Abisi and brother Michael Abisi. At the request of the family, due to Covid 19, all Funeral Services are being held privately. We look forward to having a celebration of his life when all his friends and family can gather safely. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert’s memory may be made to St Jude’s Hospital.
