DETROIT-Raymond K. Ferris Jr, 65, died on February 16, 2021, in Detroit.
Ken was born on August 27, 1955, in Hartland, Maine, the son of the late Raymond and Beverly (Brann) Ferris Sr. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. He retired from the United States Postal Service serving as postmaster for the town of Detroit.
Kenny enjoyed fishing, entertaining and was quite the storyteller. He liked to drive fast cars and enjoyed working on Camaros. He really loved his dog, Jack.
He is survived by his son, Demetres of Portland; his sisters: Brenda S. Keniston of Freeport, Trish A. Johnson and life mate, Jed Lauriat, of Ellsworth and Melanie J. McGowan and husband, Jeffery, of Pittsfield; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; and a sister, Cindy Jo Ferris.
A committal will take place in the summer at the Village Cemetery, Route 220, in Detroit.
